 After 3 weeks of auditions, and struggles in bootcamp, the judges have finally chosen the 9 contestants to participate in the Bandaids X Factor Member Poll rounds! You know what that means! This weekend, you the members will choose who gets the boot from now on in! You can check out the Bandaids X Factor Round 1 right here, where all the contestants will be singing a Disney song from a Disney animation movie of their choice!  This week's fun was cut a little bit shorter than usual, but Evan promises to make up for you all next week. (Hint; a two hour uStream, anybody?  Okay, okay, we're just kidding.) Luckily for any of you who love Sum 41, Deryck Whibley was his special guest. On the musical side of things, Evan's getting ready to release "Pumpkin Pie" in the coming weeks and performed a few songs for us including "Story of Me and You" and Avril Lavigne's "Don't Tell Me"....on piano!  For the past few weeks, the SS blog hasn't caught up to Evan until the middle of the week, but today, he decided to write up and post his blog a day early for you all! He began writing before a thunder storm began, comparing the weather to a current situation he's in. It's not all dark and cloudy, though, he later says "I can actually see how awesome shit's gonna be, where its going to lead, and how happy we'll all be when it does.." Blogs like these show just how intelligent and strong he is, not to mention motivated! He's ready to get on the road, meet thousands of people and continue living his dreams. Get ready because he says "You'll have my whole album by summer, you'll be able to listen to it every day! I'll be playing shows all over the place and I hope you'll come say hello and hang out."  Sincere apologies on being late with a few updates guys, but I'm going to make up for it! Evan's now at blog number 41. He always brings up some interesting ideas when he writes, and continues to do so with this blog. On the music side of things, he said he's now learned how to use Logic Pro, which is good for him. He says he is "..glad I know both now, makes my life a lot easier and actually the less program constrain the more creative I've gotten." Evan's also got the solution for not having to fork out chunks of change for batteries (hey, he does give a warning before) and obviously enjoys Fail Blog. Who doesn't, though, right? After 12 days of auditions, 18 entries, and 2,000 thread views, Bandaids X Factor has turned into a site phenomenom! Now the results are being handed out one by one by each judge, and we are seeing which of the contestants will make it through to the bootcamp stage of our contest. Undoubtedly looks like he had a blast on set, he proclaims this was definitely his favorite video to shoot so far. The Bandaids X Factor team would like to inform you that the entry deadline for auditions on Bandaids X Factor has been extended to Friday the 26th of February. Due to personal schedules, surprise site downtime, and the lack of time available because of that, we have decided to extend the entrance dates 5 days. All members will have more time to prepare their very important audition! As said before Bandaids X Factor was first originated on Bandaids to allow musical talent on Bandaids to be noticed by an audience. It gives people a chance to let their talent be heard, and get rewarded for it! We're all very excited to see your auditions and musical talent!  This week, Evan decided to film a video in replacement of his normal text blogs earlier this morning. He explains that he is working on a few albums and was in the studio a lot.  Since it was Valentine's Day, Evan decided to take this week's ustream down to his home studio. He showed us what it took to make Starbucks Girl and a little learning behind the autotune - he's even taking the song of the album. Yes, you read correctly. While the song is catchy and different from his other work, Evan read what all of you had to say and decided to take it off the record, replacing it with either Love/Hate or Waiting. What would Sundays be without listening to some awesome live tunes? He performed quite a few, including Boy Meets Girl, Evan Way and a part of Innocence.  Who could forget the huge hype just a month and a half ago from "Merry Swiftmas?" It landed the attention from Taylor herself and even charted Evan's tune in a country countdown for Billboard to name just a few things. Some of the writers at Neon Limelight thought it'd be cool to find out the top 5 things that make her the perfect Valentine's date from Evan, and he's definitely got nothing but wonderful things to say. He likes the fact she writes music, and he thinks she's as romantic as he is, judging by her honest lyrics.  A few weeks ago Snooty Sims had a chance to ask Evan a few questions in relation to singing his song "Pumpkin Pie" in Simlish for the popular EA game. Evan explained that the Simlish version took longer to record, but if the offer came up again, he'd do another one of his songs in Simlish for them. When asked what his future plans are, his response was "I'm going to be taking over the world very shortly." That's what we want to hear!  As promised, David Ball wrote up a review of Evan's brand new video, following his review of the song. I personally want to say, Mr. Ball, you should write more articles on Evan. You capture everything perfectly! He wrote about questioning how many of us crush on someone at Starbucks (or any other retail outlet) and not always having the courage to let the person know. How many of you are nodding your head, guilty? Unlike feeling discouraged and walking away, he also writes that Evan "allows everyone to see what it would be like to get up the courage to talk to that person." While David says the song is 'light hearted and slightly tongue-in-cheek', he highly recommends watching this video, saying Evan has a ton of potential! | The Dallas Examiner Writes about Evan Taubenfeld's "Starbucks Girl"! |

 David Ball of the Dallas Local Music Examiner wrote earlier this evening about Evan's freshly released track "Starbucks Girl" with nothing but positive words. The plan, as Mr. Ball wrote, was to begin a viral campaign where all you had to do was make a simple tweet and the song was yours. The goal was to make Starbucks Girl a trending topic on Twitter, which would eventually get more ears to listen to the catchy, pop song. Now here's the best part and why the plans suddenly changed. "Unfortunately (depending on how you look at it), Evan's large fan based crashed the site, and Evan had to make different plans for releasing his song to the fans." All you crazy musicians out there, I have very good news! Bandaids X Factor is back! Yes, the chance to show off your singing skills to the world is now upon you! Over a series of auditions, performances, and member polls budding musicians/singers will battle it out to be crowned the most talented music act on Bandaids - and there's over 100,000 of you here so that would be a huge accomplishment!! Last year Bandaids X Factor brought in over 30,000 views from members, over 1,000 votes, and even lead to one of our finalists getting a position in her school band as a singer (Hey Theresa! haha). Yes Bandaids X Factor is truly a great oppurtunity for starting musicians to finally get heard by an audience! The auditions begin on February 15th, and more details will be revealed as the comeptition reveals itself! We have a load of surprises, some awesome judges, a friendly member audience who support the artists, and a great atmosphere for people who want to be noticed to grow as musicians!
